Our Very Awesome Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is a time to show all your family and friends just how much you care for them. It is also a time to really remember all our ancestors sacrificed to come to a new land in hopes of a better life.Thanksgiving may not be as flashy as the more commercialized holidays, but it is one of the most important traditions our family has, and we were so thankful that we got to share it with our family and friends! Here are some pictures from our awesome day!
Breakfast was served about Ten O'clock, fairly normal for  Thanksgiving day!
Pumpkin pie with adorable turkey cutouts, check!

Kaitlyn and I dancing with Chuck the turkey! Jack named our turkey this year.

Elorna and I dancing with Chuck!

Kaitlyn was in a coma just after breakfast!

Poor B-Pa didn't stand a chance of staying awake! Those girls wore him out!

Me and my Honey!

Chris and her girls finally got there about one. We were so excited!

Peeling potatoes with G-Ma!

Me and my Chris, blurry, but not too bad!

Hanging out in the kitchen waiting for Chuck to get nice and brown!

This turkey is Jack approved!

Time to eat up! Yippee!

The next day I went to hang out with Tracie, Teresa and Irma. It was so nice!

Me and Teresa!

Here we all are at Coyote's!

The next night it was just Tracie, Bella and me! Bella loved Tracie....and her blanket!
Next morning Teresa and her kids came to pick Tracie up. It was too short a visit, but nice while it lasted! We tried to fit us all in on the couch, but that wasn't going to happen with wiggly Bella, do David and Ivana too a regal picture with our regal cat Cody. They thought he was great!

With Thanksgiving behind us, it's now time to bust out the Christmas dresses and get ready for Christmas!!!

Are those Monsters I see?

Halloween is always such a great time of year. The pumpkins and falling leaves, the cold nights and the warm hot chocolate steaming up the inside of the car!
This year, my two little angels wanted to be little monsters! Monster High monsters that is! Here are a few pictures from our Halloween weekend, which started on Friday and kept it's hallowed spirit through Monday!
Here they are getting ready to go down to the church for some much anticipated Trunk-Or-Treating!

First time they got to cut into the pumpkins, We normally just paint them, but this year I figured they were old enough to try the knife out! They didn't enjoy it much, I don't blame them, I'm not much on carving either!

Here are Kaitlyn, Elorna, and Sammy after school on Halloween. Kaitlyn won 2nd place for her pumpkin she created all by herself. She wanted a Frankenstein pumpkin and it turned out great! Non of them wore their real costumes to school. They all look so sweet here, just wait till that night!
Hope you had a great Halloween Eve everyone!

I know it's not Monday, but inspiration waits for no man!

So when I woke up this morning, I had no idea that a friend of mine's post would inspire me to do my own post on inspiration. Her inspiration comes from a very colorful painter. His craft is amazing, however I'm not a painter, nor have I ever found anyones paintings inspire me to paint my own, though Klimt did come close.
My inspiration is a musical one. One that I have listened to now for 17 years. One who helps me write, and think, and sing, and create. He is no secret, I share him with anyone who will listen, so if you've known me long, you've heard of him. Mr. Justin Currie.
He has a Moody, and broody way about him that is pure magic. He started out with a band called Del Amitri in the 80's, but really didn't make it to world known status till the 90's.

He plays more instruments than I can probably count on both hands, maybe including my feet too. His voice is mellow and smooth, with a touch of Scottish tendencies.

His music is soulful, without being soul, heartfelt without being mushy, and brilliant nearly to a fault!

I've never had the pleasure of seeing him live, though I'm a YouTube extreme surfer when it comes to him. His stage presence is amazing, and the stories he tells of his life and travels are captivating!

If there is one thing I have learned from him it is to make your music your own, no matter what anyone else has to say about it. Don't make it to become rich and famous, heck don't even make it so others will listen to it, just make is from the heart!
And honestly, with sideburns like those, don't you at least have to give his wisdom and music a shot?

Music Monday, and a wrap up of the weekend!

My Music Monday is all about a band I just heard of called MEESE. I don't really know that much about them, and honestly I'm not going to find out much about them since they are no longer. But the short flight they had was done well and now Elorna and I can't seem to get their song Tell Me It's Over out of our heads!

All I know is they're from Colorado, and they were only around for about 6 years. Look them up on You Tube, totally worth it! I believe the brothers of the group joined up with a girl and are now in a new band with her. I haven't hears them yet, so I can't say if they're any good or not, but since they seemed to be the driving force behind MEESE (Meese is their last name) I think it's safe to say they might also be pretty good!

And now a few pictures from this weekend! I know it's a huge surprise all the pictures are mostly of my girls!
They're decorating our storm door.

It's a shame they're so shy isn't it?
Elorna's Sunday hair-do!
Elorna stole my phone and went around the house taking pictures of EVERYTHING!!!

Roloff Farms!!!

So almost everyone knows who the Roloff's are, of little people big world. They live only a few miles from my house and every year we like to go and pick out our pumpkins from their farm. Here are some pictures of us, on Elorna's 9th birthday. I'm just putting her birthday pictures in too, since it was all part of a fun filled day!

All of her gifts were a big hit! She had a blast opening everything and we had our hands full trying to keep Bella out of the wrapping paper!

She really wanted the Black Forest cake, and it was awesome!!! Dada picked out the ice cream, Tillamook peanut butter moo I think it's called, vanilla with a peanut butter ribbon, and chocolate covered peanut butter cows!
After cake, we drove to the airport to drop Dada off. He flew out to meet B-Pa in Reno for some guy time with the boys of the family!
Us girls went to Roloff Farms!

They had a lot more things this year!

The pumpkin house is always a big hit!

This is the only orange ribbon I've been able to find in public!
Posing in front of Amy's car!
