Elorna is Goin' Buggy!!!

After many months of prep for this Goin' Buggy play, the day finally arrived! Elorna really wanted to be a ladybug, and if you know her at all you'd know why, but a close second was the Honeybee, obviously my favorite. She looked so good up there, strutting her bee-ness! She had a blast, and all her cute little buggy friends look adorable too! I was a proud buggy mama!

All of her little Bee friends here! Oh and Little Miss Muffit came by to say hello too!

There goes Elorna, off to Washington to protest the horrid treatment of bees and all bugs alike!

Elorna, 4th in on the top. It was amazing how well they acted and sang! Good job my Buggy Buddies!

Hughes & Forbes together again!

My mom comes up to visit from California about 4 times a year. We enjoy her visits very much and try to fit as much fun into each one!
Last weekend we decided to surprise our very dear friends visiting from the Philippines. We've known them for most of my life (28 years) and love them so dearly! It had been about 4 years since my mom has gotten to see Mrs. Hughes, and about 18 years since she had gotten to see her daughter, Teresa. My mom has never even met Teresa's children. We planned on visiting with them at a half way point, as they were staying about 3 hours away in Washington. But the weekend before didn't work, my acting little sister, Tracie (Mrs. Hughes youngest daughter) had to work. The next weekend they had planned a surprise party for Teresa's oldest daughter's 18th birthday. Tracie and I planned to surprise everyone by coming up for the party! When we got to her door, she asked her mom to answer it, saying it was for her. Mrs. Hughes was very confused by this since she wasn't expecting anyone!
Here's Tracie and I, do we know how to plan or what!
Of course, if you know me, you know I had to get lots of pictures of all of us! (L 2 R) Tracie, Nana, Me & Mrs. Hughes!
Tracie and my mom. Don't they look related? I think they really are!

My mom and Tracie's mom. long time friends!
Elorna and Auntie Tracie working on Ivana's 18th birthday cake!
The mohawk hats I made for David, Mary and Ivana! What great kids they are!!!
Here is Teresa, looks just like she did 15 years ago!
Kaitlyn & Ivana, and Elorna & Mary. Their buddies!

Just a really great picture of Tracie, taken by meeee!!!!

It was a great weekend!!!

Didn't we miss a holiday?

Yes, I know, I've missed putting up our Christmas post. I was going to honestly, but then found out that all those pictures went straight into our Costco picture bin, and got erased from my phone. Sorry! But we did have a great Christmas with my parents and their dog Molly. Bella especially loved having another furry friend to jump on all hours of the day! So now on to my second favorite holiday...St. Patrick's Day!!!! WooHoo! This year my mom is up here celebrating with us, Irish style!
I was kind of sad to learn that is was going to fall on a weekend this year. I normally get all dressed up in my green jewelry, hat, clothes, well pretty much everything, including blinking green clover pin, and go to work. I decided the blinking green clover pin would due for Friday.
Friday night the girls and I made a Leprechaun trap. It was great! And to entice him further, we added two mini green cupcakes to the top!

The girls were so excited to make the trap in hopes of cathing a Leprechaun!
The next day we saw that we had one in our house!
Leprechauns make big messes you know!!! Just look at what the girls gladley had to clean up in the morning!
Then is was time to get our St. Patrick's pictures done. We all looked the part! Fabulous!!!

Then it was off to surprise Kaitlyn...earpiercing time!!!! She was stoked!!!

She told the two girls "I'm not sure if I'll cry, but I might, but I might not, I jsut don't know." Giggle giggle giggle. She was hillarious!!!

Then they did it and she said "Ouch, OUCH! Okay I'm fine." No crying, what a gal!!!!

We did a little shopping at Charming Charlie, Claire's, and Justice. The girls were so excited, Justice is the new in thing! Elorna got some really cute fake glasses and Claire's, and the girls made out like crazy at Justice! We ran home to get everything ready for dinner with the Bayless's. Thank goodness Jack was prepared!

Corned Beef, cabbage and potatos, Irish soda bread, and mini chocolate pots of gold for desert! Yum!!!

A very good day for sure!

Our Very Awesome Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is a time to show all your family and friends just how much you care for them. It is also a time to really remember all our ancestors sacrificed to come to a new land in hopes of a better life.Thanksgiving may not be as flashy as the more commercialized holidays, but it is one of the most important traditions our family has, and we were so thankful that we got to share it with our family and friends! Here are some pictures from our awesome day!
Breakfast was served about Ten O'clock, fairly normal for  Thanksgiving day!
Pumpkin pie with adorable turkey cutouts, check!

Kaitlyn and I dancing with Chuck the turkey! Jack named our turkey this year.

Kaitlyn was in a coma just after breakfast!

Poor B-Pa didn't stand a chance of staying awake! Those girls wore him out!

Chris and her girls finally got there about one. We were so excited!

Me and my Chris, blurry, but not too bad!

Hanging out in the kitchen waiting for Chuck to get nice and brown!

This turkey is Jack approved!

Time to eat up! Yippee!

The next day I went to hang out with Tracie, Teresa and Irma. It was so nice!

Me and Teresa!

Here we all are at Coyote's!

The next night it was just Tracie, Bella and me! Bella loved Tracie....and her blanket!
Next morning Teresa and her kids came to pick Tracie up. It was too short a visit, but nice while it lasted! We tried to fit us all in on the couch, but that wasn't going to happen with wiggly Bella, do David and Ivana too a regal picture with our regal cat Cody. They thought he was great!

With Thanksgiving behind us, it's now time to bust out the Christmas dresses and get ready for Christmas!!!
